Who is this storage size suitable for?

This is by far our most popular storage unit and the size that fits most people that are moving home.

If you’re moving your house it’s highly likely you’ll need this size. It’s the size of an average household garage is the easiest way to think about it.

It’s competitively priced so that even if you don’t use absolutely all of it – you’ll still be saving money vs smaller sized units in indoor storage room companies.

This is the unit you want if you want if you’re not absolutely sure how much space you need because if gives you a bit of a safety margin when you’re moving your things in – you won’t be worrying about running out of room on the day.

Our most popular storage unit for businesses.

Unless you’re looking to small amount of stock or tools for your business it’s highly likely you’ll need this size for your storage.

If you’re accessing your storage regularly which is common for our business storage customers – one thing that is worth thinking about is having the room to be able to walk around your storage unit.  This storage unit allows you to store stock at the back and for you still to be able to access it – because there is space to create walkways and to put up shelving.

Who might this storage size be suitable for?

This is for people who have a few rooms worth of storage or maybe they’re moving from a small flat. The best way to think about this unit is that it is like having a room in a house where you can store your things.

Another use case for this storage unit would be for decluttering or if you’ve had to empty a room while your doing some renovations.

If you’re moving a house it’s highly likely you’ll need our standard storage unit.

This unit size is also popular with people who are looking to store motorcycles.

If the things you’re looking to store for your business could fit in a room of a house then this is the right storage unit for you.

The other thing you want to think about is length of the things you’re storing. It’s longest point is 10ft so all the items need to be smaller than 10ft (3 metres).

Here are some commonly asked questions about our storage in Killingworth

If you still have unanswered questions – give us a call on: 0191 300 65 65

Yes – we have every security feature you’d expect from a secure storage facility.

24 hour, 7 days a week CCTV monitoring. High security fencing and electronic gates control access to the site.

All our storage units have heavy duty padlocks that are protected with steel lock boxes (this prevents anyone from being able to cut or tamper with the padlock).

All our containers are watertight – which means that they will stop the elements getting inside.

We check every storage unit before giving them to new customers so your unit will come dry.

The most important thing after this is that you don’t let any moisture get into the container when you’re loading it. The big mistake people make is putting something damp into the container – this can lead to more moisture when the doors are closed and the container is sealed.

If it goes in dry, it’ll come out dry.

Yes you can. We manage the site remotely (there is no office on the storage site itself) but if you call us up we can either arrange to meet you to show you a unit or we’ll leave a unit open so you can inspect one for yourself.

Give us a call or reserve online using our website.

We’ll ask you for some details (like when you’re planning on moving in), to sign our T&Cs and setup payment. Once those things are completed you’ll have successfully reserved your unit.

Of course – give us a call and we’ll happily walk you through which sized storage unit is best.

Our 20ft storage container is by far our most popular option. Over 90% of customers go for that option – it’s the size of a standard household garage. But if you have only a little amount to store – and you think you need something closer to a small storage room, then our 10ft container might the right one for you.

We offer our most competitive price up front to every customers.

A simple, small monthly fee.

Often companies (in particular large national storage chains) will offer 50% discounts to entice people to book for a limited time. But these savings are often false economies because the prices are so expensive when you pay the standard rate any savings you got with the special deal are cancelled out.

Why reserve a storage unit with us?

We’ve been operating a self storage business for over 20 years.

Killingworth was the very first site we opened and since then we’ve grown it to over 300 storage units.

During that time we’ve been focused on doing one thing – giving people storage that is more affordable than our competitors (the prices for storage can be ridiculously high) whilst maintaining a quality storage product.

We know that people need storage to be clean, dry & secure. That is the level of storage we provide – with an affordable monthly price.
